Sally founded the Bales Company in 1977, a highly regarded search firm that has earned national and international recognition by focusing on all disciplines of the medical and biotechnology industries. She is a renowned recruiter and after years of experience, she remains on top of the medical recruiting profession.
Sally's accomplishments are vast and include:
- Co-founded First Interview: the largest network of 350+ independently owned and operated recruiting firms
- In 2010, the Bales Company was awarded the First Interview Milestone Award for $8 Million in Total Production. This is the first award of its kind
- Since the formation of First Interview in 1977, the Bales Company has always been in the top 5% of recruiters every year
- Member of the Pinnacle Society: the nation's premier consortium of top recruiters within the search industry
- Co-founded SearchNet: a network of 50 executive search firms across the world

A leading recruiter in the field of biotechnology, Ann has been a medical recruiter since 1987. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and an extensive biotechnology, diagnostic, and medical background. Ann owned a biotech recruiting firm in Canada before joining the Bales team. Over the years, she has raised money to benefit Diabetes Research and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She has recruited for medical companies such as Abbott Labs, Becton Dickinson, Fisher Scientific, as well as many others.

With over four years in medical recruiting and eleven years in the financial services sector working his way into financial planning, Gian is an accomplished and highly skilled recruiter. Prior to joining the Bales Company, he was a recipient of numerous accolades including President's Club, Rookie of the Year and ESC Recruiter of the Year Award. He maintains a passion for the life sciences arena. While not at the office, he spends time with his wife and three sons playing and helping coach baseball and soccer. He has been married 12 years and enjoys sports and reading. Calling himself a fish, he especially loves being in and around the water: swimming, fishing, skiing and going to the beach.
Kevin Spollen

Kevin has been with the Bales Company since 2004. In '06 and '07, Kevin won the First Interview Award for exceeding $100,000 in placements. Prior to medical recruiting, he served seven years in the U.S. Navy, and taught Special Education courses in Japan. He has a passion for recruiting, which is revealed by his sales numbers. His personality, intelligence, and drive are key indicators of his success. In Kevin's spare time, he is an avid golfer and is the committee chairman for the ALS Association's annual walk in Jacksonville.

Ryan has been with the Bales Company since 1999 and consistently holds the top position in recruiting sales. He specializes in the fields of Orthopedic, Spine, and Sports Medicine. In '02 and '03, Ryan won the First Interview Recruiter Award for his #3 and #4 ranking among 350 recruiting companies. He also won First Interview Recruiter Awards for '05, '06, and '07, for placements exceeding $100,000. Before joining the Bales Company, Ryan was the Northeast Regional Manager for an insurance firm in Florida. He is the definition of an enterprising person that is translated directly into his efficiency and effectiveness in medical recruiting.
